When we ordered our 987 last year , it was built week of 10/14. The shipping time/ sequence went like this:
-shipped from Finland to a port in Germany to be loaded on another vessel
-Germany to Baltimore. Ground transportantion from Baltimore to OH.
Assuming the 10/15 date was accurate, it took 4 weeks to show up in Baltimore and then a couple of days to get to the dealer.
Not sure how they deliver to the west coast--rail?
