So just a tiny bit off-topic but not really. I just geeked out about gear oil specs etc for awhile, and I don't pretend to be even kindof an expert, but after reading some good reviews for the Liqui-Moly GL5 75w-90 synthetic stuff Pelican sells, and coming across a post on rennlist that listed these specs for various oils (copy/paste from Bill 993):

***Begin copy/paste***
Spec. data on each of the trans oil (from pdf data sheets via web):

Mobilube PTX (Porsche Spec.)
Viscosity at 40C, 77.2
Viscosity at 100C ,14.5
Viscosity Index, 197

Shell Helix 75W-90 (same as Porsche 999-917-546-00??)
Viscosity 40C, 81
Viscosity 100C, 14.9
Viscosity Index 194

Fuchs Titan Sintopoid 75W-90 (sold by Pelican Parts)
Viscosity at 40C, 90.5
Viscosity at 100C, 15.3
Viscosity Index 179

Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W-90 (retail product)
Viscosity at 40C, 99
Viscosity at 100C 15.2
Viscosity Index 142

Mobil Synthetic Delvac 75W-90
Viscosity at 40C, 120
Viscosity at 100C 15.9
Viscosity Index 140

All Viscosity in mm2/s

***End Copy/Paste***

I went and looked up the specs for the Liqui-Moly stuff and found:
Viscosity at 40C, 80.9
Viscosity at 100C 14.3
Viscosity Index 184

Since my car is having some small problems with slow syncros at cold temps, I think I might try the Liqui-Moly stuff. Anyone else have experience with it?
