Unhooking the connector is a little tricky as well, as it has a locking device - but there is a fairly good YouTube video to show you how.
The connector is a b itch.

Just an FYI, there are lots of aftermarket OBD2 readers that will clear airbag codes and abs, too. I've got this one:
