If you're looking for a 2.5 litre engine car, you might want to consider looking stateside. The early cars are in the $6-9kUS range and anything 15 years old or older is eligible for import at reduced import duty. Emissions meet Canadian standards as most US cars meet California emissions. Many will have the IMS addressed. You might even find a 2000 S for under $10k. Just need to be ready to jump. There are some dependable shops in Seattle that can check out the car.
