AS an FIO When I replaced my AOS I found one half of that attachment had broken. Under normal conditions the hose is held in place by crankcase vacuum. Any pressure opens the PCV on the other end. With that in mind and since mine had not failed in who knows how long, I just reattached. I may replace at next AOS change or if I have access for some job. Probably 6k miles since then and no issue.
