I live in CO and it TRULY can be bloody cold. I use a hair dryer, (not a heat gun) if I must open the top in the winter. Just be sure to be gentle with it, “karate chop” any horizontal creases and you should be fine. If it’s 45-50 degrees it’s not too bad. If colder, I would wait. Mostly because that’s just too dang cold to be messing with an engine! ;-)
