How many miles on the Boxster LE? That's another one on my short list of cars to upgrade to.

Thankfully he had discovered at the time of our first contact that his wife was pregnant. 3 mo later he contacted me to see if I was still interested (think the impending bundle of joy influenced the 2nd contact). I certainly was, so he sold it to me for $42K. I left a 3 hr vapor trail to his house to get the car bought before he changed his mind again.

I mention the price because there was a current thread on P-9 following the sale of another 08 Signal Green CSS. Turns out it was in Ames, IA, which is where I bought mine. It sold for $41K. Had 26K mi vs my current 54K, but not bad depreciation for 5 yrs. The green and orange CSS's have a premium for their color, but am surprised by how large that premium is over regular CS's. In that same thread, an orange CSS appeared and quickly sold for $40K.

Someone ahead of you in the queue is a salesman at Porsche of Omaha. He covets my CSS. Anytime there is a new model intro, he makes me some very good trade-in offers. I could have traded both my cars straight up for 997.1 (which was an OK deal) or a 981 Spyder (now that was a deal). But I like the versatility of having a coupe and conv and don't want to lose that with 1 car.

I have no plans of getting rid of either car for a long time, so don't expect any PM's anytime soon. Next mo is also the 10th anniv of buying my LE. Prior to either car, I generally sold my cars after 4 yrs.

Here's Sydney at Indy back in Aug.
