I agree, Pete. I just bought the red clip and it's pretty much worthless on my 987. I put it on, activated the alarm, then reached in and touched the steering wheel, radio facia, and opened the center storage bin, without triggering the alarm. It wasn't until i reached under the dashboard that the alarm went off.

When i take the car in for its service, I'm gogin to ask about the sensitivity of the infrared .
