Thanks Gelbster. Very useful info. I'm leaning towards trying it myself, but I'm going to research some shops first. I'm not keen on removing the canvas myself, nor paying someone a fortune to do it for me. Apparently there are shops that can replace it while still on the clamshell but removed from the car. I'll research the vinyls as well. Since I live in Socal, cold isn't really an issue. Good info on the thickness of the vinyl, too.
