Insist that the ins co total the car. You can buy your car all day in the Miami market for 5-7k. Your car will never be the same if you fix it.
And depending on how much you paid for the car, you can make money. I crashed two boxsters this year that were totaled. I made 4k more than what I paid for the 2000 and about 1k on the 2004 I had for about 3 months. Bad luck but with a silver lining.
Hope I don't crash my 2002.
