Funny you mention banging the rev limiter, since I just went through an issue where during the last DE, I got distracted in 2nd passing someone and forgot to shift so it went up to 7,600 RPM before I shifted into 3rd. After the event, I reviewed the data log file to confirm this happened and it did. I went back to the shop that tuned my car (Vivid Racing) to explain to them that this should not happen (that is why there is a rev limiter, I did not ask to remove the rev limiter). They re-flashed with a supposedly "good" tune, but I did not "test" the rev limiter on this last outing at AMP since I was very conscious of this and a little shy of the redline... So on a couple of the straightaways, I could probably push it some more in 3rd, but on others, I'm hitting 103 so I would need 4th anyhow, so that is why I shift a little early
