I suppose since the outside diameter may not change, it will not impact either bump stops or any suspension components? Also, any change in the speedometer reading?
My rims are standard 17" - 7 J X 17 H2 with 55 mm offset up front and 17" - 8.5 J X 17 H2 with 40 mm offset back rear.
Thoughts?

I run 225/45-17 and 255/40-17 without any problems
As far as speedo, well to my knowledge, all of our cars read a few MPH high anyway.
Most 225/45 and 255/40 are the same diameter 255/40 is the factory size so there shouldn't be any speedo change over factory
