It's hard do see how you're going to win this one because it will be hard to prove which party was negligent.
The insurance company seemed to follow standard industry practice. Hard to prove they were negligent
The shop seemed to repair the cover properly and you accepted the repair. If the defect appeared months after you picked up the car, perhaps you can argue the shop failed to provide repair that lasted a long time. But that seems a stretch.
