Why would anyone cut open a factory PSE muffler? It already has the bypass valves, and you can basically see where the bypass pipes feed from the outside of the muffler.
My Dansk exhaust sounds better than stock, there's no drone whatsoever that I can detect, and it's not anywhere near $2000. If I recall correctly, I got mine for $750. Or, you can have a muffler shop fabricate a PSE with 2 pipes, and it won't drone either (for much less money than a new exhaust).
