It may be all that. However, as the moderator who slogs through all the defect compaints on this forum, I can tell you that from a reliability standpoint, the boys in Germany have a long way to go.
As an example, the way they have failed to fix the RMS design defect is simply criminal in my opinion.
For the price of these cars, I would expect better from them. Let the defect rate reflect what we pay for these cars.
That would make me a happier Porsche owner.

Why is it interesting that posting that data and folllowing with the remark that Porsche is at the bottom would make us defensive? Whether or not we agree with you about Porsche quality, your post was nothing more than a cheap potshot. If you really had an agenda you wouldn't post something that weak.
Perhaps you need to admit to yourself that you do not belong in Porsche land, (I am not judging, I believe everyone belongs there
), but based on your comments you seem so unhappy with Porsche. Why continue stressing yourself.
