A "997" shift fork sounds incorrect for a 5-speed transmission. Do you have the 5-speed, or a 6-speed?

FYI, below are the shift fork and related components I have lined up for the next clutch job on my 2001 5-speed. Part numbers don't match yours, which make me think maybe yours are for 6-speed. Part number of the shift fork, for example, is "012 141 719 E".

You can consult the Porsche parts catalog online to determine the correct parts. Here is the one that I use, although it is for US-spec Boxsters so you may need to locate the European counterpart catalog for your application (seeing you are not in the US): http://www.porsche.com/all/media/pdf/originalparts/usa/986_USA_KATALOG.pdf

If you want someone else to do the parts research for you, you need to be more forthcoming regarding the specifications of the engine, transmission, model year, etc that are involved. The more information, the better. (Sort of a "help us help you" deal.)

Best of luck!
