Always wanted to have mine powder coated black, gave up the idea eventually. Actually does the trick naturally if unpolished. Beside there is nothing better looking than a thick and ugly dirty and carbonized performance lookin tailpipe
RE Autosol. Yes, the best polisher I've tried also. Especially on AL... Autosol is yet the only abrasive that will give you "mirror-like" surface finishes with very little effort. Great prod, worth saying
