The engine has died... At least it went with a bang... a BIG bang...
Well, here it is:
One of the pistons is non-existent and has completely desintrigated:
Here's what's left of it (including the remains of the connecting rod)
The case has some serious damage and is cracked:

So that's non-reparable...
