FTP: you wrote that you installed (5/16 or 3/8..?) rubber fuel line.
Please note that
you MUST use the appropriate "Metric sized Fuel Injected Rated" fuel hose, otherwise the SAE sized fuel hose will eventually fail and you will end with a high fire hazard
I am not sure the diameter but on the Alfa Romeo & Fiat (Bosch FI) the fuel hose is a 7.5mm diameter
