My shims were fine, but since I put in the 987 part, it is supposed to use the newer shims which are a few mm thicker. My feeling was I would not be changing the mount for a long time and since I saved a bunch of $$ but replacing the insert, might as well used the proper shims.

All in all, I spent less including the stupidly expensive shims saving around 35% of the cost of the full replacement part. And didn't have a piece of scrap aluminum left over
