That car in the ad was manufactured in November 1999 and I expect that it is a 2000 model actually.

I have seen plenty of Non-S Boxsters that had 'S' badges added and other items swapped over. I had an S style bumper on one of my '99s and have a trunk lid on a 99 that was originally from an S and is now de-badged. Before you go look at a car that is suspect, GET THE VIN and check it. An S model VIN starts with: WP0C
B... , Base model starts with WP0C

I bought a 2000 S that was in need of some work and discovered it had a 1997 2.5L engine in it rather than a 3.2.
