This is exactly what I've been running on my car for 40K & 5 years and it does work. I know, I know, the purists are shaking their heads and calling me a blasphemer. I wouldn't do this to any car that mattered (including my 996). But my 986 is a racecar & test mule, and no one else ever will ever have to work on this car until I'm dead. If you are in the same boat, go for it. Otherwise, stick with the factory stuff.
