The hardtops aren't small, I doubt they will fit inside anything other than a van or truck bed. The (rough) dimensions for future reference: 48"L x 59"W x 15"H

The hardtop has negligible (basically, zero) impact on rigidity, and they add 55lbs. Having the top up (hardtop or soft top) does make the car more aerodynamic, but I doubt it will have any noticeable impact on performance at regular speeds.
