This topic has been covered before, but here's a fresh question...
I greased the shifter cables, which helped with shifting smoothness.
I replaced my eBay short-shifter with a 997 shifter, which helped some more and reduced shifting effort (although it did lengthen the throw noticeably).
I still get some shifter play. It seems to be at the transmission, as illustrated here:

What can I tighten, fix, replace to remove the slop?
