I drove past it the morning it happened, because I pass this PC every day at least twice (on my way from my home in Vinkeveen to my work in Amsterdam and in the evening when I'm driving home again).

When I passed, they were just getting the car out of the water...

Right about this time:

The director of the Amsterdam Porsche Centrum has said that it was a mistake made by one of the mechanics when he tried to park the car... Quite a mistake to make

I wonder what his answer was when his wife asked him "how was your day?"

Dikke pech: automonteur rijdt Porsche het water in - RTL Nieuws

It seems -though- that the mechanic was not to blame!

Suddenly there was this picture online:

You've probably noticed already what's wrong with/in this picture...

Where are the brake calipers?

First there was speculated that it was an early April Fools joke, but later it turned out that the car was at the Amsterdam Porsche Centrum to get its 'Gulf' livery and because the yellow calipers wouldn't look nice with the orange stripes, they decided to spray the calipers orange. They were at the paint shop and the car was parked outside without brakes. So when the mechanic wanted to move the car he couldn't brake...

Well, that's at least what I've heard. I don't know whether that is the truth.

Unfortunately it happened to the most expensive car they had...

And I heard it was a customer's car..
