If you are going to take the oil cooler off and don't have an S, I would recommend upgrading to the much larger S oil cooler (Only used brand new oil coolers). If you remove any spring style hose clamps, those need to be replaced. Any hoses with visible damage or that don't flex well should be replaced (there is a TSB on how to identify bad hoses).

When I was under the car I noted some non-critical components that where getting worn, like the foam around the coolant hoses that go to the front radiators, and the plastic clips that go around the coolant hoses beneath the motor mount.

Make sure you only flush with distilled water.
