Markus: I've used the OEM tool literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of times with zero issues. If yours stripped, it was probably caused by some binding in the headlight tray/lock bar or improper use of the tool. Use your hand to assist the headlight in seating by pushing it in as you lock it into place. There should never be much torque on the tool and if there is, then you're doing it wrong.
