I just had the 3M paint protection film installed to my hood/bumper/fenders/mirrors. I was done at my Porsche dealer although they sub out the job to a vendor. It was $550.
My only advice is to MAKE SURE you know exactly what shape (or area of coverage) your film will cover. I'm having big problems with my dealer since there are 2 areas (approx 4"x4") on the front of my bumper that are not covered. All of the 3M kits online have the entire bumper covered, but the vender that installed my kit either used the wrong one, or has a terrible cut for a 2003 Boxster base bumper. Vendor claims its the right kit, I say it's not. They already have my money so I think I lose on this deal.
Anyway goto someone who has installed this stuff on Boxsters before...and know exactly what you are getting.
