Bearing and seal are pressed in from the outside. The shift lever is held in place by a clip inside.
Depends on how much slack there is in the current bearing. May indicate city driving lots of shifting. Seems to be a common problem.
Mine was 350 for bearing and seal. I did the rest. You'll need a rental or another car, that's for sure. Only other option is a new $950 gear box case.
