I just bought a 2000 with 30,000 miles on it for $21,250. The sticker price was $48,516. Assuming the first owner paid a little less than sticker price for the car, his depreciation cost was almost a dollar a mile.
My point is that you and your wife ought to enjoy driving the car. Don't abuse it, but don't let it become a garage queen. The only person that benefits from that is a value-oriented used car buyer like me. Not that I mind.
