Sadly, Grizz was also going through personal life issues after suffering from a major work injury.

I wish him well.

Thanks, Frodo, for giving me pause today to think about this great guy.
Yeah, the “Water Wetter” saga was already gettin' long in the tooth when I stumbled onto it. Never really bothered to get completely up to speed on the issues involved, that at least in part because bmussatti (Whatever Happened to Him Too?!?) promised to give me an encapsulated version about this and other posts involving Grizzly and MNBoxster, and about all the resulting tension and rancor that developed between the two of them. He, apparently, forgot, but no big deal.

Personally, I always thought Grizz was in especially rare form when sparring with MNBoxster---could be wrong, but I always suspected he enjoyed it.

I figured he was, in some fashion, in the federal government. And I do recall his back injury---seemed like he was in some serious pain for awhile there.

We talked pets at times. He had, of all things, a couple Pekingese pups, one of which he had rescued...had heartworms and was generally in wretched shape til they nursed it back to health. It just struck me as so funny, this guy I always envisioned as kinda tough, well-trained, sharp, quick-witted, in good shape (pre-injury), this FED (I think like Tommy Lee Jones in MIB, shades and all) having this soft heart for a couple bark-and-go-pee dogs. I loved it.

One of my favorite threads of all time started with this post by him. It was when he was laid up, essentially bedridden I believe, recovering from the earlier-mentioned injury:
Dilemma..A Value Conflict, If You Will
Please study the attached photograph carefully.
[source of photo (hence, photo) gone---it was a picture of a cat on his Boxster ]

Facts:

1) This is not my cat. This is my neighbors cat.
2) He has been there for more than an hour.
3) No amount of yelling or banging on the window will move him.
4) He does this all the time to all of my vehicles.
5) I am the only one home in the neighborhood.
6) I can reliably remove his brains from his head from here, without risk of damaging the car.

Conflicts:

1) I am an alleged animal lover.
2) I cannot get downstairs to hide the body.
3) I am currently not capable of rinsing the skull fragments from the car.
4) It will be loud.

Please assist me in making this important decision. Your input, as always, is much appreciated.
Of course it was all a crock...he would no more harm that cat than his own furry friends...but the post, and its responses---it made for good fun.
