I'm pretty sure if you have really expensive wheels, they'll hammer a socket on the bolt and remove it anyway. Speaking of which, my mom's 2012 Hyundai Genesis has those lug nuts that are completely circular on the outside, the key part is on the inside, which makes the hammer a socket on method useless, I guess. Pretty interesting!
