Oh wait, the only downside is that the break-in period for EBC pads can be up to 200 miles and they might squeal a bit during break-in but the squeal goes away completely thereafter.
Reviving an older thread...

So thstone, you still recommend these pads? I mostly do street driving (in spirited fashion) but have also done a little track (where I'm definitely still in the beginner category!). Reading other threads that talked about ceramic pads (mostly about Akebonos), I got the impression they had a different 'feel' to them. Based on your 2012 comments, I gather you either didn't notice that, or maybe preferred it?
