The tank and cap have been replaced, there was a nice big crack in the side of the tank. It is still running hotter than I would like, although it is in the mid-hi 90°'s F here. When I do the water pump, I will definitely be installing a low temp thermostat. Thank you to everyone for the guidance and advice!
