A couple of years ago I was looking for a week end convertible, actually I was close to purchasing a 1964 Impala, when a friend of mine in a wheelchair who owns a 2000 996 convertible finally talked me into taking him for a drive. After 4 hours of driving I was hooked. I had to have a Porsche. I always liked the Boxster, and after all from where the driver sits a 996 & 986 are pretty much the same car. 3 weeks later I had mine own. I know it is not as powerful as my friends 996, but just as much fun, at least for me.
