Springs are often thought to be a lifetime component - meaning that you may be able to simply reuse the original springs with your new struts.
Check for spring sag by checking the ride height at all four corners and then inspect each spring after removal from the old strut; if all is well it can probably be reused.

Its a 98 with roughly 86,000 miles on it. I've noticed a creaking sound from back there after I go over harsh bumps exactly what I imagine a rusty old spring would sound like.
