Dropped the trans in two, four-hour sessions. I took time to examine everything and pulled both axels. Most don't need to split the case or pull axels. Get a friend to help drop the trans. Everything else really is a simple DIY job. Very easy to access every bolt. I tend to take for granted the big space, benches, a welding shop, and great tools I bought with an estate I bought. Actually kind of fun and easy to work on.
