Xcellr, You got it. I found coolant in the oil after a very brief overheat . It ran fine after the . No damage at all other than the cracked head, and poorly lubricating oil thanks to glycol.
I don't really have the time/space to replace the cylinder head right now. And at that point it would be a shame not to do a full rebuild with 100k on it already. I'd rather the full swap at this point.
Good question on the value of the engine at this point. Plenty of places will accept it as a core on their rebuilt engines, but that doesn't say much about the value by itself.
