If it is a very high end car (into six figures) I would look for advice / opinions from the local BMW Club or other people who have had similar vehicles shipped. Maybe another forum with / for commensurate valued cars could give you better insight to high end shipping. I had a BMW (R1200RT Bike) delivered last week from New Hampshire to the Midwest with what the shipping company (dealer lined them up) that referred to it as their "white glove service", it was strapped down to a pallet lol. Upon unloading the driver asked if I wanted "this", I asked what it was he said it was a cover that they're supposed to use on bikes but that they never do, geez. Luckily for me all was well but I know of others who've tried to save a buck in shipping and paid for it dearly. Good Luck........
