Extremely late, but I remember stumbling across this thread before I had purchased my Boxster... I had always been meaning to answer the question but never got around to it.
Porsche did make an off-white/cream 986 paint color - it is Biarritz White. I happen to own a Biarritz white Boxster, here are some photos...
The cream color of the paint is much more visible in person.
