I have never changed the starter or the alternator and I have over 270k miles on my 2001 Boxster. I have changed the water pump but that was at 204k miles. Expect some suspension parts replacement when you go over 200k miles, unless you want to install a performance suspension kit. I have changed the Air Oil Separator more times than I care to think about but I live on the west coast and atmospheric pressures at (or near) sea level seems to prematurely fail these units. It's good you can do the work yourself, like many on this forum, it will save your bank account.
