I bought an Exide AGM battery because they work better than lead/acid batteries in the cold climate where I live. Not cheap though. Any auto parts store or large chain store should have a battery that will work.

Batteries are easy to change in Boxsters, with 2 warnings: don't close the hood with the battery removed or disconnected, and be sure you have the radio code. It's not necessary to re-program the radio on my 2003, but it might be on a 2006. Anyone?
