Completed the fix. Bought clear 3/8"ID tube x 1/2" OD from Home Depot. I took the broken piece of tube with me and made sure I could insert it into the tube. I used some motor oil to lube the ID. I also ran hot water over the tube to soften it up.... my garage is cold. A little pushing and cussing and a couple of hose clamps and the tube is fixed.
