I found 2nd and 3rd were the gears I was mostly in when I was driving through light traffic and the red line in third was my speed indicator telling me to slow down. Fourth and fifth were just to cruise and conserve gas.

So what would cause the elongated chain. Abrupt take-offs? Missed shifts? That is the only mode of failure that turbos suffer and mostly those with the x50 package and bigger k24 turbos.
