See, its exactly that. You aren't actually cool for hitting the rev limiter, but most people think you are when you hit it.
Combine that with 'it sounds nice to me, the driver' and...why not? Plus, you know the saying, 'a rev limit a day keeps the IMSB doctor at bay'
