I like to think of it like this: it doesnt do the engine THAT MANY bits of bad, compared to how many bits of good it does ME; its got the revlimiter for a reason.

And the rev limiter/redline are the same...at least to me. Type 1 revvs will hit redline (which is the rev limiter) and be completely safe to the internals (minus the extra wear of 6500rpm versus Joe's 6000rpm...can't be THAT much more wear, its not like I keep it at redline for seconds on end).

AND, if my engine fails because I 'revved it too much', I will be infinitely less mad than if my engine were to blow up from the damn IMSB.
