I have from a good authority that the seatbelt dinger is in the gauge cluster.

it probably has nothing to do with the dinger, though. They are pretty simple and I doubt that it would have gone out.

The problem is most likely going to be a bad connection at one of the three connectors on the rear of gauge cluster (they should be pulled and re-seated) or a bad microswitch somewhere
