I took mine apart as the glue holding them together was failing and they had water in them. Getting them off the headlight assembly was tricky, don't break the plastic tabs, and on mine there was a plastic spin rivet to be removed. I got them apart without damage, cleaned them, and used clear silicone adhesive to glue them back together. Go easy on the silicone, it does not take much.
