Your car lies to you.. (not joking) what Porsche has the gauge reading? and what the actual temp is? Two different things. Plug in with a PIWIS one day and look at both. You'll see. The BMW guy's deal with the same issue Porsche *wants* you to believe what is on the gauge. It's BS after 195.

I mount data temp sensors within a few inches of the factory temp sensor.. so I have other info coming in. I regular see 205-215 in 2.5 race cars with 3rd radiator. The BoxsterS cars with the 3.2 will go 220 all day (but read a nice steady 195 on the gauge)

The 987's are even worse
