A steady CEL is not as bad as a flashing CEL! ... so maybe it isnt bad enough to not drive ... possibly just an non functioning O2 sensor ....

to answer your question ... whenever Im waiting for parts and not driving ... i start looking for the next projects' parts ... its a never ending recursive loop.
Thanks for asking. It is code P1341 which according to my indy shop is the variocam actuator bank 1. I have ordered the camshaft position sensor which two parts guys say will fix the problem. I am going to let my local low cost indy shop fix it(the owner does have a Boxster as well). If he is not up to it I will take it to a higher cost indy shop that does good work.

I just received a brand new water pump(plastic impeller) from Pelican Parts yesterday even though the current one is not broken. 13 years old it is time to change it. Of course the CEL light steady came on after I had ordered the first set of parts.

Do you agree that I should not be driving the 2001 base Box with this fault on?
Do you agree with the fix of the code?
